I am new to Real Estate Investing and a beginner in Renting World.
I recently closed a brand new home and rented to a tenant starting Dec 1st, 2019.
The biggest mistake and the most valuable lesson learnt is I took personal check for security deposit & first month rent.
The first month rent check bounced on Dec 4th.And i am still holding both checks in hand.
The tenant kept skipping the timeline giving all sort of reasons. Tenant always says she will pay but doesn’t clarifies when. Its been 17days so far, which starts me to loose my patience.
I sent a Notice via email today ( Dec 17) asking for first month rent and security deposit.
I am really looking for suggestions and options before me.
